Description: Nicely gilted button with the stand-up shank intact. This style of button was made according to the December 1865 regulations. None of these are excavated at Civil War sites and are post war buttons.
Backmark: "*D. EVANS & CO.* / ATTLEBORO MASS" dm with an inner ring of hyphens
