Z3820 Scarce Small Size Maynard Tape Primer Tube (Empty)
Description: Here is a very nice example of the small size tube for the Maynard Tape Primers. This was manufactured by the Massachusetts Arms Co. It would have originally held several small rolls of about 35 Maynard tape primers. These would have been the orange/reddish colored versions and not the version produced by the Frankford Arsenal. This tube is free of dents and has a brass top and bottom. The tube body is made of sheet metal soldered at the seam. The lid on this example is outstanding and reads, "MAYNARD'S PATENT / SEP. 22. 1845. / MANUFACTURED BY / MASS. ARMS. CO / CHICOPEE. FALLS / MASS." You would be hard pressed to find a nicer tube with a clear top. This example is empty and is just the tube itself.
Measures: 1.831" x .945"
