Description: Decent excavated 1st Light Artillery coat button used between 1808-1821. This example has a script "LA” over "1” on a lined field surrounded by sixteen five-pointed stars. The face is legible and the shank is missing on this example. This is another variant that was used in the War of 1812 and beyond.
