Description: Decent .58 metallic cartridge for use with the Berdan System conversion muskets. The Berdan System conversion from muzzle-loading to breech-loading was introduced and patented in 1869. This example has a flat nose bullet with a single exposed cannelure, a drawn brass case, and a Berdan primer. Decent example with some spotting and oxidation cracks just above the rim. This example has a magnetic head.
