Z1487 One-Piece Massachusetts Militia Button by Peasley & Robinson 1815-1825
Description: Here is a very nice gilted Massachusetts button manufactured by Aaron Peasley and Richard Robinson. The motif on the face has an Indian standing on an open oval field with a star in the sky. The backmark on this particular example is stamped over an earlier Robinson's backmark.
Backmark: "****************" rmdc with two inner rings.
Measures: 22.27 mm
Recovered: Non Excavated
