Z2466 One-Piece Massachusetts Militia Coat Button 1820's
Description:
Very nice non-gilted button from the early 1800's. Tice states, "British manufacturers exported these buttons during the first quarter of the 19th century. The face features a Native standing on a lined oval field with a star over his right shoulder. The word "Massachusetts” is wrapped around the edge of the oval across the top. Nicely toned example with a slightly bent shank!
