Z3933 Early One-Piece Pewter Christ's Hospital Cadet Coat Button
Description: Here is a decent early example with honest wear to the face. The full motto should read, "EDWARDUS VI D G REX F ." The iron shank in intact although slightly bent. These were worn on the uniforms of the Christ's Hospital Cadets. The school is located in Sussex, England and has a lot of history attached to the school. According to their website, this style of uniform button stared to be used around 200 years ago. The later versions are two-piece buttons and are still in use today.
