Z4391 Rare Empty Box for 10 .50-100 Rodman-Crispin Cartridges
Description: Very rare pasteboard box that once contained 10 .50 Rodman-Crispin Cartridges. This one shows soiling but remains intact. The top has been glued in place. I have included a photo of the cartridge that would have been inside this packet. It is not for sale and is not included. These experimental cartridges were produced in the 1870's at the Frankford Arsenal. See Logan Pg. 98. He states, "about 2,000 of these cartridges were made in January and February, 1872, at Frankford Arsenal."
Measures: 1.25" x 2.5" x 3"
