Z4319 Scarce .40 x 2.5” Martin-Primed Experimental Cartridge

Description: Very rare experimental cartridge known as the Martin-Primed .40 x 2.5" cartridge. These were featured at the 1876 International Exposition in Philadelphia in the 9th drawer as pictured in the book. Lewis states that "all cartridge in this section have small Martin-type priming, with a copper bar anvil." This one still retains the original paper patch.
