Z4555 Experimental .50-70 Rodman-Crispin Cartridge

Description: Very nice cartridge consisting of a rolled brass casing, brass cup, and iron head. These experimental cartridges were produced in the 1870's at the Frankford Arsenal. See Logan Pg. 98. He states, "about 2,000 of these cartridges were made in January and February, 1872, at Frankford Arsenal." This example is in very good shape without any major dents or dings.
