Z4710 Virginia Militia "Soup Bowl" Coat Button

Description: Nice high-convex example with the stand up shank intact. This one still has plenty of dirt and could be cleaned up a little more. There is plenty of silver gilt under the surface. Tice states that these scarce buttons were manufactured in Britain and date from 1825-1835. A very nice "Soup Bowl" button!
