Z4933 Springfield Ohio National Encampment GAR Badge
Description: Decent celluloid and silk G.A.R. Grand Army of the Republic badge for the 1898 National Encampment in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 3-10, 1898. The suspension bar has a celluloid covered piece of paper that reads, "SRINGFIELD, OHIO.." The back of the suspension bar is marked THE PETTIBONE MFG CO OHIO. The silk ribbon has some wear to the blue/star area with a few small open tears. The suspended disk has a paper front and back covered in a celluloid cover. The front has a few brown spots and is secure around the edge. The back has a few spots throughout and is not properly crimped but is solid and won't pop out.
Measures: 2.5" x 4.75"
