Z4937 Stoneware Bottle Marked "AWP"
Description: Nice 19th century tan colored stoneware bottle marked "AWP." This could have been used for soda, beer, meade, etc. The North American Soda & Beer Bottle website has one listed as A.W. Phillips with no location. I was able to track down another one online that reads, "A.W.P. & Co / LEWISTON, ME." There could be a possible connection between the two markings but more research would be needed to confirm. This piece is in excellent condition with wear around the shoulder which is typical. The shoulder on this bottle is wider than the base. There is one small area on the base that is from manufacturing.
Marked: Impressed "AWP"
Measures: 9.5" tall x 4" wide at the base
