Z3827 British 70th "Surrey" Regiment of Foot Coat Button
Description: Nice dug example missing the shank. This one still retains a bit of plating on the face. Both Tice and Nayler have this backmark listed as dating to the early 1840's. Based on information via Wikipedia, this button would date from around the time they were stationed in Montreal Canada.
Backmark: "P & S FIRMIN / LONDON" Ca. 1840-1844
