Z5420 32-Bore Sharps Rifle Cartridge Patented by Gomez & Mills

Description: Here is a very rare 32-Bore Sharps cartridge with a multi-groove bullet by Gomez and Mills. This cartridge is in fine condition and the bullet has a few marks on it that appear to be from manufacturing. The paper is crisp, and you can clearly see where two cartridges pressed into this one in the packet. The string is a light blue/green twisted around a white string. You would be hard pressed to find another example on the market in this condition. The Gomez and Mills improvement to cartridges was patented on August 24, 1858 as Patent No. 21,253. This would make a great addition to any Civil War cartridge collection!
