Z5421 Rare .45 Whitworth/Kerr Cartridge by Eley Bros.
Description: Here is a minty cartridge that you come across every day! This is the .45 cylindrical ball cartridge for use with the .45 Whitworth or Kerr rifle. This style was manufactured by Eley Bros. of London and wrapped in the "American” pattern using fine white paper. There are some stains on the powder portion of the paper tube. This is quite common on the few examples that I could find. There are three slits in the paper which allowed easy access to the projectile. You would be hard pressed to upgrade this one! A fine and very rare Civil War cartridge!
