Civil War US Belt Buckle (Shepherdstown)

Z5525 Civil War US Belt Buckle
Description: Decent mid to late war Model 1839 waist belt plate or buckle. This example still retains all three attachments on the reverse. This style of plate is typically dug in sites used in late 1863-1865. This buckle is typical of those found in the fields that have been worked for generations. This example is folded in the middle and the edges are curled. The back retains most of the lead soldier that is cracked and flaking. This plate was lightly cleaned and is still covered in dirt.

Measures: 80 mm x 50 mm as is.
