Z5601 Rare .41 Marston & Goodell Bullet
Description: Very rare Pre-Civil War bullet for use with the .41 Marston pistol. This example has a single cannelure for grease and a rebated base. The paper cartridges could be filled and fitted over the rebated base creating a seal. The cartridges were made of a paper tube with a leather washer, perforated in the middle to allow the flame to reach the powder. These cartridges were patented by William Marston & Frederick Goodell under Patent No. 8,956 dated May 18, 1852.
