Z5626 Rare .60/20 Ga. Colt Revolving Shotgun Ammunition Packet
Description: Very rare empty box for the .60 or 20 gauge Colt Revolving Shotgun. This style of box uses a split wooden block which was used 1860+. These boxes are relatively scarce when you think about how many revolving shotguns were manufactured. This example has No. 8 shot as stated on the label. There are other examples out there marked for buckshot in a few sizes. The paper label is intact on the front, top, and back, with some remaining on the other sides. You can open the packet up to see the drilled wooden block on the inside. A very rare and scarce Civil War era packet. The label reads as follows:
