Description: Very large non-excavated "Dandy” size tombac button. Tice states that Tombac consists of 84-90% copper with 10-15% zinc plus arsenic. These buttons are fragile but extremely resistant to corrosion. These buttons date to the last half of the eighteenth century through the early 1800’s.
