Z5641 Revolutionary War British 60th Regiment of Foot Coat Button
Description: Decent enlisted man’s coat button with crisp detail on most of the face. The 60th Regiment of Foot was known as the Royal Americans. This one is missing the iron shank which is quite common on dug examples. There is a pushed portion of the face that goes from the 9 o’clock position to the 1 o’clock position. I’ve included an additional photo from the side of the back so you can see it. A decent 3rd pattern button dating from the 1775-1785 period. This one has white writing on the back and may be one that Don Troiani dug many years ago.
