Z5782 Revolutionary War 44th Regiment of Foot Coat Button
Description: Decent Revolutionary War button used by the British 44th Regiment of Foot. This is the enlisted man’s pewter pattern. There is significant edge loss, the shank was reapplied, and there is some stabilization work on the edges. This work wasn’t done very well which is why the price is low. You can still see a partial crown at the top with a "44” below and a partial border. This would be a good placeholder until something better comes along.
Backmark: None
Measures: 21.60 mm at the widest point
Recovered: Unknown
Reference: Troiani & Kochan Pg. 105 No. B44D or E
