Z5848 .56-52 Spencer Carbine Cartridge
Description: Nice non-excavated .56-52 cartridge for use with the Spencer carbine chambered for .56-52. These were placed into production around the same time as the .56-50 Spencers and the majority were too late for the war. They are very similar to the .56-56 cartridge but have a slightly necked copper casing.
This example is decent with one small period mark to the projectile. This is one of several cartridges from the personal effects of Dr. Theodore S. Christ of the 45th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
