Z5871 .72 Foreign Musket Bullet (Wishing Well Cache)
Description: Very nice .72/.73 Foreign Musket bullet recovered from the "Wishing Well” Cache outside of Savannah, Georgia. Most of the bullets from the well have extreme powder burn. This example is one of the better ones. It still has a round skirt and still has lubricant in the grooves. The full story on these can be found in the North South Trader Magazine Vol. 18 No. 1 1991. An excellent Civil War bullet with a published Southern history!
Measures: D .710” OAL 1.094” C .649”
Recovered: "Wishing Well” cache near Savannah Georgia
Reference: "Round Ball to Rimfire” Vol. 4 No. 584
