Z5953 Scarce .38-44 W.R.A. Cartridge
Description: Very nice, .38 Special cartridge manufactured for use in the Smith & Wesson large frame .38-44 and the .38.44 Outdoorsman. These used the .38 Special high velocity loads. The bullet is seated about 1 mm high. There are a few very small oxidation spots and one shallow dent above the casing cannelure. Please see photos. This cartridge comes with a sheet showing three lots were manufactured between October of 1935 and March of 1936 with one additional lot manufactured in July of 1940. All use Bullseye powder and a 158 grain bullet with a staynless primer. This cartridge has a round nose jacketed bullet. This cartridge comes with a lot sheet from WCF Publications Inc.
