Description: Nice silver British War Medal with the suspension bar intact. This example has a little wear around the edges of the medal. This example is ID’d to a Private Bindy Jama of the Sierra Leone Battalion. His Regiment No. is 2655.

The British War Medal was authorized in 1919. It was awarded to personnel who were in a theater of war or provided approved service during WWI. Those who served in Russia between 1919 and 1920 were also qualified for this award.

Stamped on Edge: "2655 PTE BINDY JAMA S-L BN”
