Z6060 Smith Carbine Cartridge Box, Pattern 1860
Description: Hard to find Cavalry cartridge box for use with the .50 Smith Carbine. This is the longer pattern and has 20 drilled holes in the wooden block measuring .667” in diameter and 1.170” deep. The top of the outer flap measures 9.50” across the top of the box. The outside of the box compartment measures 8.25” in length and 1.6” deep.

This box has tight stitching and both roller buckles are still intact along the bottom. This box has crazing throughout and most of the original outer surface has flaked off leaving a dark outer shell. A hard-to-find box when you need one!
Marked: "J.E. CONDICT, NEW YORK”
Measures: 9.5” x 2.5” x 3”
