Z6038 .58 Centerfire Cartridge, Berdan Primed
Description: Here is an oddball .58 variant. Hoyem states that these are more than likely manufactured by U.M.C. and attributed to Combaluzier, Mexico. The head is reminiscent of U.M.C. but it’s not a style of casing that I am familiar with. The casing is crimped around the upper portion of the bullet which is way down in the casing. Perhaps this one is a carbine round? There is a crack running down both sides of the casing on this example. A very crude variant!
