Z6125 .577 Enfield Cartridge by E.A. Ludlow
Description: Here is an excellent example of an imported P-53 Enfield cartridge. These Civil War cartridges were imported through the blockade and into the South. This example still has the green band that reads, " E. & A. LUDLOW / BIRMINGHAM." There is still a little tallow on the end with the bullet. E. & A. Ludlow produced large quantities of cartridges which is evidenced by excavated bullets with cavity markings of L, L1, and L2. This cartridge is in excellent condition Civil War cartridge and appears to be right out of a packet.
