Z6155 Robin Hood Ammunition Company "Indian” Ammo Crate
Description: Very nice wooden ammunition crate manufactured for the Robin Hood Ammunition Company of Swanton, Vermont. The Robin Hood Ammunition Company was organized in 1906 and was purchased by Remington-UMC in 1915.

This crate once held 500 12 Ga. "Indian” shotshells loaded with black powder. The box is in great shape for its age and most of the writing is legible and dark. The box was sealed at one time giving it an aged appearance. The box is held together with finger joints. There are a few bumps here and there and one side has two chunks taken out of the wooden face. A very nice shotgun shell crate by a highly collectible company!

The end caps read as follows:

500 R.H.A.Co. 12GA
LOAD NO. F-8
INDIAN
LOADED WITH
