Z6197 US Infantry Coat Button (1808-1830)
Description: Decent one-piece pewter button that was used as a "General Serviceā€ button. This is a coat size example. The face is flat with clear letters. There is very little edge loss on this example. The button has been reshanked at some point. It appears that someone added a brass shank on the back and there is a little bit of solder around the shank with some scratches to the rear surface.
