Description: Nice .56-46 Spencer rimfire cartridge used with the Spencer Sporting Rifle/Light Carbine. This example has a raised "US” headstamp and was manufactured by the United States Cartridge Company. A nice example with lubricant still in the grooves.

Headstamp: Large raised "US” within a depressed circle.
