Z6293 Experimental .50-70 Cartridge with Farley’s Sectional Bullet
Description: Very scarce cartridge tested in 1869. This cartridge is internally primed using the Benet system. The cartridge employs a sectional bullet created by Captain Farley. The bullet has a dowel on the base that holds a perforated disc of beeswax. When fired, the beeswax disc was supposed to squeeze out the lubricant. A decent example with an oxidized bullet. The nose is frozen in place and does not detach from the base section. Only a portion of the beeswax disc remains.
