Z6869 .45-78 Wolcott Cartridge
Description: Nice match cartridge known as the .45-78 Wolcott cartridge with a 2.1” case. Hoyem states, "This cartridge was named for Mr. H.H. Wolcott, President of the Starr Arms Company.” These cartridges are easily identifiable by the unique bullet profile. This example has a paper patched bullet, a brass case, and a Berdan primer. The paper patch is lightly soiled. The brass case has a few spots with a dark patina around the case mouth. There is one lighter spot where an old collector tag was. The case could be cleaned up with a little extra find bronze wool and elbow grease.
