Z7016 .45-85 Colt Board Dummy Cartridge by Winchester
Description: Nice "board dummy” example known as the .45-85 Colt. This cartridge was manufactured for the Colt Lightning large frame rifle. I have also seen this attributed to the .45-85 Marlin and the ball attributed to Ballard. It has a wooden dowel on the interior and has two holes punched into the case on the board side. It has a flat nose bullet, a brass case, and a copper primer. Nice example with some original lacquer and spotting on the front side. A short-lived cartridge!
