Description: Scarce, two-piece, rolled iron cartridge manufactured in the Philippines. These crude cartridges were used by Philippine insurgents against the Spanish and U.S. forces. This example is internally primed and has a rolled iron case with an iron head crimped to the case. Most examples that I have seen have heavy corrosion and blisters. This example is very nice with a few small dents and very light rust patches here and there with no corrosive bubbles. The consensus is that these cartridges were used in .43 Spanish rifles.
