Description: Decent .38 Colt Lightning Magazine Rifle wood rod board dummy cartridge. These were introduced in the 1895 Winchester catalogues and were gone by 1918. This example has a wood rod on the inside and two holes on the back or board side. It has a flat nose bullet, a necked brass case, and a copper primer. This example still retains quite a bit of the original lacquer with heavy spotting. A very scarce board dummy cartridge!
