.32 Krutzsch Trial Cartridge by Winchester
Description: Very rare .32 Krutzsch Gun cartridge manufactured by The Winchester Repeating Arms Company. This is listed as variant two on page 215 of Shuey Volume 1. It’s a 2-hole wooden rod functional dummy cartridge. Shuey states that these were Winchester Lawsuit Cartridges for the Krutzsch Gun and for the patent infringement trial between Francis Bannerman and P.C. Sanford.
This cartridge is in very nice shape. There is a little oxidation around each hole. It has a flat nose gilding metal bullet, a brass case, and a copper No. 2 primer. There are a few very nominal bumps to the top bullet edge.
