Description: Nice example of a Winchester No. 14 brass "board dummy” shotshell. These Winchester headstamped No. 14 shotshells were introduced in 1879 as "first quality” shells. This example still has quite a bit of the original lacquer finish with some spotting on the sides and head. There are two holes on the board side and the primer isn’t dented. A nice example of a scarcer No. 14 shotshell used on a Winchester cartridge board.
