Z7517 .45-60 W.C.F. Board Dummy Cartridge by W.R.A.Co.

Description: Nice example of the .45-60 W.C.F. "board dummy” cartridge. These were used in the Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle. This round first appeared in the 1880 Winchester catalog and was gone by 1938. The headstamped version first appeared in the 1886 catalog. This example has a lead flat nose bullet, a brass case, and a #1 oval brass primer. There are two holes on the board side and a wooden spacer rod on the inside of the case. A nice example with a little spotting.
