Z7518 Winchester .44-60 Board Dummy Cartridge

Description: Nice example of the .44-60 "board dummy” cartridge manufactured by Winchester. These were used in the Remington Creedmoor rifles. This cartridge first appeared in the 1875 Winchester catalog and was gone by 1910. This example has a round nose paper patched bullet, a necked brass case, and a #1 oval brass primer. There are two attachment holes on the board side along with a single punch crimp. There is no wooden spacer rod on the inside although something is rattling around in there. The case retains some of the original lacquer coating with some spotting and the paper patch is lightly soiled. There is a slight crack on the rim.
