Winchester .30 W.C.F. Board Dummy Cartridge
Description: Nice example of the .30 W.C.F. "board dummy” cartridge by Winchester. These were used in the Model 1894 lever-action rifles. These first appeared in the 1895 Winchester catalog and there are several varieties. This example has a round nose full metal jacket bullet with tin plating. The brass case is slightly necked and there are two holes on the board side as well as a wooden spacer rod on the inside of the case. There is a small dent next to one of the drilled holes. This example has the #1 protype oval primer. The case still retains some of the original lacquer finish with some spotting throughout.
