Z7544 Winchester .30 W.C.F. SR. Board Dummy Cartridge
Description: Nice example of the .30 W.C.F. Short Range "board dummy” cartridge by Winchester. These were used in the Model 1894 lever-action rifles. The .30 W.C.F. cartridges first appeared in the 1895 Winchester catalog and there are many varieties. This example has a round nose bullet, a necked brass case with a single cannelure, and a prototype primer. There are two holes on the board side with a wooden spacer rod on the inside of the case. A nice example with a little spotting.
