Z7939 .56-46 Spencer Cartridge Long Case F.V.V&Co.

Description: Scarce .56-46 Spencer carbine cartridge known as the F.V.V. "Long Neck” or "Long Case” variant. These are a hard-to-find variant of the F.V.V&Co series. This example has the F.V.V&Co. headstamp and was manufactured by Fitch, Van Vechten & Co. between 1864-1865. The case length on this example is 1.072" where the typical short neck version is .930+-. This example has a flat nose bullet with two cannelures. The case has a few spots and a discolored band around it. The bullet has one small bump on the side of the tip. A hard variant to track down!
