Z8264 10Ga. Shotshell by Charles D. Leet
Description: Very nice, early 10Ga. NPE paper shotshell manufactured by Charles D. Leet of Springfield, Massachusetts. This is the first paper shotshell with a metallic base in the United States. US Patent No. 98278 was awarded to Charles D. Leet of Vienna, Austria and B.B. Hotchkiss of New York, New York on December 28, 1869. This is the same style of shotshell that is in use today with a few minor variations. It has an orange/brown spotted case, a brass head, and a copper primer. A nice clean example with a crisp case mouth!
