Z8319 Excavated Civil War Shoulder Scale

Description: Excellent, excavated shoulder scale that is obviously a water recovery. This example is intact and still retains the spring strap soldered to underside of the pan. It has a few very small dents, and the patina goes from a dark brown/black to the original bright finish. The exact recovery location of this piece is unknown, but I suspect it may be from City Point/Hopewell, Virginia.
