Z8397 .38 Special Cartridge, Cluster Bomb, M6
Description: Nice example of a WWII cartridge designed to be used with M1, M2, and T2 bomb clusters. These cartridges assisted with breaking open fragmentation and chemical bomb clusters once they were released from the aircraft. It features a .38 Special brass case with a commercial primer and a 152-grain, flat-nosed, cadmium-plated, steel bullet. These were charged with a powder mixture of 6-7 grains. These were specially designed cartridges and are in no way meant to be fired from a .38 Special or .357 Magnum. These were intended for use with aircraft cluster adapters.
