Z8430 .38-40 W.C.F. Cartridge by Robin Hood (R.H.A.Co.)
Description: Nice example of a .38 W.C.F. or .38-40 W.C.F. cartridge manufactured by The Robin Hood Ammunition Company of Swanton, Vermont. The Robin Hood Powder Company became The Robin Hood Ammunition Company in 1906. They eventually went out of business and were purchased by Remington-U.M.C. around 1915. This cartridge is a necked down version of the .44-40. It has a flat nose bullet with a necked brass case, and a copper primer. Nice example with some spotting on the case. This example would date between 1912-1914.
