Description: Nice example of the early Martin-primed .50-70 Govt. cartridge. This example has the re-entrant fold and would have been manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal in November/December 1871. The top portion of the case is cylindrically throated or slightly necked. A nice example that was lightly cleaned at some point.
