Z8826 Rare .70-150 Thick Rim "Board Dummy” Cartridge by Winchester
Description: Rare, original example of the .70-150 "Board Dummy” cartridge manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company of New Haven, Connecticut. This example is the well-known "thick rim” variant, typically displayed at the top center of the "W” on late 1890s Winchester boards.
It features a flat-nose express tube bullet secured with a roll crimp. The necked case is fitted with a small brass primer, and two holes are present on the board-facing side of the brass case. Inside, it has the characteristic wood spacer rod. The projectile shows a few small bumps, and the case displays a mottled patina with a few minor spots — but no dents!
If you’re looking for an original .70-150 board dummy cartridge to complete your board, this one is for you!
